    Brannon Young brings over 15 years of IP solutions sales and consulting experience. He is responsible for Luxul’s training and education programs, working with industry partners to promote Luxul products, and providing market input into product direction and design.


    Prior to joining Luxul, Brannon lead a team of Systems Engineers in his role with Helius where he was key in positioning and deploying IP over satellite systems for General Motors, JC Penney, Toyota/Lexus, Edward Jones and Safeway. Brannon started his career with 2NetFX that offered early market technology for distribution of high definition video over IP.


    Brannon holds a degree in Management Information Systems from Brigham Young University.

    Prior to joining ESA in 2012, Chris Heaton was the executive director of the Texas Municipal Police Association in Austin, TX. He previously served as a law enforcement officer for 20 years including service with the Plano, TX Police Department from 1984 to 2000. Heaton has provided advocacy efforts on public safety issues as a volunteer leader or executive officer, at the state and federal level, for over 23 years of his professional career.

    Heaton graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a degree in Criminal Justice. He also holds a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of North Texas. Heaton recently completed certification in nonprofit management from the Institute for Organization Management.

Upon joining ADI, she was responsible for launching and subsequently leading ADI’s Commercial AV Organic Acquisition in NA. In 2017, she accepted the role of VP Business Development also for NA and has done an outstanding job in generating new business opportunities in both the ProAV and Enterprise Connectivity spaces

    Daniela is a Senior Product Manager for the ADI Americas Private Label product lines. She is responsible for strategic initiatives across the Access Control, A/V, Structured Cabling and Communications product categories within the W Box Technologies brand at ADI.

    Daniela joined ADI in 2010 as an Associate Product Manager for Access Control and quickly began to oversee the category until she was promoted to Senior Product Manager in 2013. She was instrumental in delivering profitable results and driving growth across ADI’s access control product category. With more than seven years of experience in business to business distribution and manufacturing, Daniela is skilled in managing supplier relationships, marketing programs, strategy and communications. Prior to joining ADI, Daniela served as the Distribution Sales Coordinator at Central Semiconductor.

    Daniela was named the ADI 2013 Marketing Person of the Year, and was selected as a Honeywell Automation & Control Solutions (ACS) President’s Club honoree. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and management from St. Joseph’s College.

    David Engebretson provides online and instructor-led training in fiber optics and networking of security equipment. Since entering the alarm industry in 1978, he has designed, sold and serviced central station, fire alarm, CCTV, burglar alarm, and access control systems.

    Engebretson is the contributing technical editor for SDM magazine, and has written two books: the Technician’s Guide to Networking for Security Systems, and the Technician's Guide to Physical Security Networking: Enterprise Solutions.

    David Engebretson has an ongoing relationship with ADI, and in addition to contributing to the ADI Blog he conducts IP training courses at ADI Expos across North America.

    Doug Adlam is the General Manager for Canada at ADI. He is responsible for growing ADI’s business, and maintaining strong customer relationships across the country. Doug leads all customer activities across Canada including sales, systems support, branch and warehouse operations.

    Doug joined ADI in 2012, and has more than 20 years of experience in distribution and retail operations. Before joining ADI, Doug held the position of VP of Operations at Rona Inc., where he was responsible for more than 50 retail locations along with the company’s residential and commercial sales divisions and centralized delivery centre.

    Doug holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from York University in Toronto, ON.

    Evan began his security career in AZ in 1986 and shortly thereafter founded Double Tree Security, Inc., a commercial, residential and industrial security and fire company in Mohave County Arizona. Licensed in AZ, CA & NV, Evan grew Double Tree Security to become the largest security dealer in the region. In 1999, Evan sold Double Tree to the 20th largest security dealer in the United States, Mountain Alarm, a division of Fire Protection Service Corp. Following the sale of Double Tree, Evan opened a commercial sales office for Mountain Alarm servicing oil companies, universities, schools, state and local municipalities, medical companies and Olympic venues in the greater Salt Lake area. In 2002 Evan co-founded WiLife to develop easy to setup and use video surveillance systems. In 2007 WiLife was acquired by Logitech after which time Evan served as the Chief Products Officer and Product Manager of the WiLife division within Logitech until August of 2013. Evan is currently the CEO of ProdataKey, an industry leading innovator of access control products and services.

    Evan served on the Board of Directors for the Utah State Burglar and Fire Alarm Association and attended Brigham Young University.

    Fredrik Nilsson is the General Manager for Axis Communications with responsibility for the company’s operations in North America since 2003. During this time, he has helped the company increase its revenue more than tenfold and has been instrumental in leading the industry shift from analog closed circuit television to network video.

    Mr. Nilsson serves on the SIA (Security Industry Association) Board of Directors. He is a trusted industry speaker and has spoken multiple times at leading events such as Securing New Ground, ASIS International, ISC West and Interop. Mr. Nilsson is an expert voice in top security, IT and national business publications, such as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, USA Today and the Washington Post, and has made numerous television appearances, including shows such as CNN Headline News, CNBC’s “Wake Up Call” and the Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends.” He authored a book, “Intelligent Network Video,” published by CRC Press.

    Prior to working for Axis, Mr. Nilsson served as a product manager for ABB, a global leader in power and automation technologies.

    A graduate of the Lund Institute of Technology, Mr. Nilsson holds a master's degree in electrical engineering, with follow up post-graduate studies in economics.

Prior to joining ADI, Garrett spent more than six years at MSC Industrial Supply Co. in a variety of distribution marketing and merchandising roles. Kavita was previously responsible for ADI’s CCTV and video surveillance product category in Canada. Prior to that, she served as the Product Manager for Intrusion and Fire. With more than 14 years experience in the retail industry, Kavita is particularly skilled in product management, merchandising, planning and analysis, purchasing and inventory. Before joining ADI, Kavita held a variety of positions at Blockbuster Canada in Product Management, Merchandising and Supply Chain Operations. Previously, Kavita spent time in Purchasing and Inventory at telecommunications company, National Wireless.

    Kavita earned a bachelor’s degree in Business from Sheridan College, and has received Certification in Purchasing from the Purchasing Management Association of Canada (PMAC).

    Kelly Mascia is the Senior Product Manager for U.S. Access Control and North America Communications. She is responsible for leading all product management and marketing initiatives for these product categories. Kelly is focused on strategy, driving growth and creating new opportunities for ADI’s dealers and vendor partners.

    Kelly joined ADI in 2016, and previously served as the U.S. Associate Product Manager for Video Surveillance and Networking where she was instrumental in the continued success and growth of the product lines. Before coming to ADI, Kelly spent six years at MSC Industrial Supply, first as a Merchandising Manager for the Safety product line and then as a Product Manager for the Janitorial and Facility Maintenance categories. After leaving MSC, Kelly worked as a Product Category Manager in the Medical Division of Henry Schein, a leading distributor of dental and medical equipment.

    Kelly was presented with the ADI Global Distribution President’s Club award in 2017. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Scranton.

Prior to joining ADI, she served as the Director of Marketing and Communications at Speco Technologies and previously held a variety of marketing, advertising and event planning roles with Newsday, CMP Media Inc., and Ziff Davis Media.

She deploys new strategic and tactical plans to grow our digital footprint in the market and support ADI's established business goals. Laura has more than 15 years’ experience in the space. Before joining ADI, she worked at NCI Building Systems where she served as Vice President of Marketing and Sales Technology. In that role, she drove developing digital infrastructure and innovation to support digital marketing, advertising, pricing, and sales. At NCI Laura oversaw the creation and launch of a market and business development strategy to build an end-to-end digital customer acquisition program for the company’s commercial business which saw record growth. Before that, Laura worked as Global Director, Digital and Marketing Strategies for Eaton Corporation and Director of Digital Marketing Channel Enablement for Accenture Interactive, to comprise a career of over seventeen years in digital and technology-based marketing leadership.

    Marco Cardazzi is the Vice President of Global Marketing for ADI Global Distribution. As part of ADI’s global leadership team, he is responsible for driving all marketing initiatives across the Americas, EMEA and India. With over 13 years experience in leadership roles in distribution and retail, Marco has a wealth of knowledge in product management, marketing, purchasing, and promotions.

    Marco joined ADI in 2011, and previously served as the company’s Vice President of Marketing, North America and U.S. Senior Product Manager for video surveillance. He was instrumental in driving growth across ADI’s video surveillance category and helped establish the company as a leader in analog and IP video surveillance. Before joining ADI, Marco held product management positions at Global Equipment, MSC Industrial and Rodi Automotive.

    Marco was named the ADI 2012 Marketing Person of the Year, and was selected as a Honeywell Automation & Control Solutions (ACS) President’s Club honoree.

    He received a bachelor’s degree in finance from Baruch College of the City University of
    New York – Zicklin School of Business.

    Following two years abroad in Taiwan R.O.C. and undergraduate studies at the University of Utah and Brigham Young University, Mark earned a bachelor of science degree in Communication with a minor in English from Weber State College.

With more than 20 years of experience, Rob is an accomplished leader with an in-depth knowledge of building successful distribution models, driving growth and delivering positive results.

    Rob joined ADI in 2013, and previously served as the President of ADI Global Distribution and as ADI's Operations leader. In this role, he led the company’s operational excellence efforts to improve the capabilities of ADI sites across North America and drove initiatives for sustainable improvements in safety, quality, delivery, cost and inventory management.

    Aarnes joined ADI in 2013 from Gunnar Optiks where he served as president and CEO. Previously, he has held a variety of senior leadership positions in retail, manufacturing and distribution industries. Aarnes received a bachelor’s of science degree from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD, and an MBA from San Diego State University. He also served five years as a Supply Officer in the United States Navy.

His career is highlighted by more than a decade at the diversified industrial company Ingersoll Rand.

    Respected for his unique industry perspective, Rob has been featured as an expert panelist at International CES, the Golden Seeds Annual Summit, the IoT Global Innovation Forum, Internet of Things World, and APPNATION IoT among others.

    Rob was previously Vice President and CIO of Carpenter Technology Corporation in Reading, Pa. Prior to that he was Vice President and CIO for IR Security Technologies, a $2.5B sector of Ingersoll Rand Company. Rob also served for seven years as the Corporate Global Director of Front Office Technology and Business Intelligence, holding worldwide responsibility for Ingersoll Rand's front office technology and business intelligence strategy.

    His professional background includes CPG, industrial manufacturing, distribution, financial services, consulting, education and automotive businesses.

    Rob is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

    Shawn’s career in A/V has spanned many roles over 25 years ranging from dealer/integrator to manufacturer’s rep to wholesale distribution. He received his Digital Signage Certified Expert certification in 2012 and continuously keeps up with the latest trends in the market.

Fariss has a Bachelor’s Degree from Virginia Tech in electrical engineering and an MBA from the same university. Fariss currently resides in the Dallas Fort Worth area.
